There are many ways to help LVCHS with a financial contribution. Possibly the best mode for your business is the Education Improvement Tax Credit program sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Community Economic Development at this link:

The EITC program offers a great opportunity for you to assist our LVCHS scholarship program and receive significant tax advantages.

Who is eligible?

Businesses authorized to do business in Pennsylvania who are subject to one or more of the following taxes: Corporate Net Income Tax; Capital Stock Franchise Tax, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax; Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax; Insurance Premiums Tax; or Mutual Thrift Institution Tax. In other words, this is in lieu of payment of business taxes to the state of Pennsylvania. Contributions can be made by your business to an approved PA Scholarship Granting Organization. You simply ear-mark your company’s contribution for the benefit of LVCHS. We can tell you which scholarship organizations are partnered with us.

How to start?

First, touch base with Mr. Moser at 610-821-9443 or j.moser@lvchs.org. The next cycle for EITC starts on July 2nd, 2007. We can introduce you to the scholarship organizations currently partnered with the school and can provide the necessary paperwork.

Amounts

Your business can receive tax credits equal to 75% of your contribution up to a maximum of $200,000 per taxable year. This can be increased to 90% of the contribution, if your business agrees to provide same amount for two consecutive tax years.

Summary

First, your business receives very high percentage tax credits. Second, through an approved scholarship organization, you provide much-needed scholarship funds to LVCHS. Frankly, it’s a win-win for both parties.

2007-08 School Goal

Each year our scholarship program provides tuition assistance to deserving school families. However, the required dollars continues to go up. During the new fiscal year our EITC scholarship goal is $40,000. Won’t you pray about helping us? Such a partnership will not be regretted.
